- RB Leipzig can draw level with Real Madrid with a home win on Saturday (6:30 p.m./Sky) against FC Bayern Munich. The Spaniards recently managed to win three times in a row against Bayern. RB had won on the penultimate matchday of last season (3:1) and at the Supercup (3:0) in Munich.
- The clash of RB with Bayern is the duel of two title-hungry teams. Since the summer of 2021, all seven national titles have gone to the Munich team (twice champion and Supercup winner each) and the Saxons (twice Cup winner, once Supercup winner)
- Marco Rose has been RB coach for 34 Bundesliga games, practically a season. With 2.1 points per game, he has the best record of all Bundesliga coaches of Leipzig.
- Thomas Müller has won 321 of his 447 Bundesliga games and can now set the record of Manuel Neuer, who celebrated 322 wins in 478 first league duels
- It is the 15th Bundesliga game of the two opponents against each other. So far, RB has won only two of them, drawing five times. The goal difference is 17:26. Most successful RB scorer against the Munich is from the current squad Timo Werner with three goals.
