Two standard goals: Dresden ends in a draw against Bielefeld

Dynamo Dresden and Arminia Bielefeld missed out on an escape in the race to stay in the Bundesliga 2. The promoted teams drew 1:1 (1:0) in the basement duel. Christoph Daferner put the hosts ahead with a header after 43 minutes in front of 30,840 spectators. Substitute Tim Handwerker (63) equalized with a penalty. Dynamo's Robert Wagner (90.+1) was shown a yellow card in stoppage time.

Dynamo coach Thomas Stamm had to do without director Niklas Hauptmann, who was ill. That was noticeable. In the first half, the home side's play lacked creativity and system. Instead, Arminia put their stamp on the game. Very high pressing and quick switching from all parts of the team took the danger out of Dynamo's play from the outset.

There were therefore only a few big chances. Semir Telalovic (5') and Arne Sicker (19') had chances to score for the visitors, Kofi Amoako (9') missed with his head after he also failed to get the ball over the line in a scramble in the Bielefeld penalty area following the first corner (8'). Dresden also took the lead from a corner kick. Jakob Lemmer (42) had tested visitors' goalkeeper Jonas Kersten on a counter-attack, and Daferner headed the resulting corner into the net.

After the break, Arminia pressed for an equalizer, which was awarded after Alexander Rossipal fouled Monju Momuluh, who had come on as a substitute 52 seconds earlier, with a penalty. There were then chances for both sides through Marius Wörl (71') and Lemmer (74'), which were thwarted by the goalkeepers.
