1. FC Magdeburg has a new striker. Shortly before the winter transfer window closed, the second-division soccer club announced the signing of Richmond Tachie. The striker joins from league rivals 1. FC Kaiserslautern. The length of the contract and the transfer terms were not disclosed.
"Richmond is a player with experience in the second division who can be used variably in attack. We are convinced of his quality and believe that he can help us in the second half of the season without a long acclimatization period," said FCM Sport Managing Director Otmar Schork about the new signing. The 26-year-old has been playing in the Bundesliga 2 since 2022. First at SC Paderborn, then at 1. FC Kaiserslautern and on loan at Eintracht Braunschweig. This season, Tachie appeared in eleven league games for the Lauterers, scoring one goal in the 2-1 win over Elversberg.
Diawara second departure after Hoti
Kandet Diawara, on the other hand, is no longer with FCM. He is the second winter departure after Andi Hoti (to Eintracht Braunschweig). The attacking player, who moved from Le Havre AC to the Elbe in the summer of 2025, has joined French second division side ES Troyes AC. "For personal and private reasons, Kandet approached us to terminate his contract before the end of this
transfer period in order to return to France. We have complied with this request," said Schork. He only played five games for FCM.
