The Champions League rematch will take place on matchday 3 of the Handball Bundesliga. On September 6, champions Füchse Berlin will host Champions League winners SC Magdeburg at home in the Max-Schmeling-Halle (3.40 pm), as announced by the HBL. SCM narrowly missed out on the championship at the end of last season, but then clearly defeated Füchse in the Champions League final.
SCM travels to TBV Lemgo Lippe on August 29 to kick off the season. ThSV Eisenach is the first opponent at home on September 3 at 8 p.m. The second East duel with SC DHfK Leipzig is scheduled for October 19 at 4 p.m. in the Saxon trade fair city.
It is already clear that the game against THW Kiel scheduled for September 28 will have to be postponed. By winning the Champions League, Magdeburg have qualified for the Club World Championship. The tournament for the Super Globe will take place in Egypt from September 26 to October 2.
The East duel between ThSV Eisenach and SC DHfK Leipzig will take place in Thuringia on Matchday 1 (August 30, 4:00 p.m.). Leipzig's first opponent at home will be TBV Lemgo Lippe on September 4 (7 p.m.).
