The women's handball club Thüringer HC has celebrated its tenth win of the Bundesliga season. The team of Head Coach Herbert Müller beat Frisch Auf Göppingen by a commanding 39:33 (22:15) in front of its home crowd on Wednesday evening. Johanna Reichert was the THC's best scorer with 13 goals in front of 932 spectators as the team moved up to third place with 21:9 points.
Natsuki Aizawa celebrated her comeback after several weeks out through injury and immediately made her mark on THC's attacking play with her passes, dominating at high speed from the outset. Since the home side was also compact in defense, it quickly pulled 12:4 ahead in the 14th minute.
The team's concentration in defense dropped significantly as a result. However, Reichert continued to score at will, giving the THC a comfortable lead at the break. The open exchange of blows continued after the break. The Thuringians were in control of the game at all times without having to push themselves to the limit.
