Erzgebirge Aue sign Simnica from relegated Sandhausen

The shopping spree of third-division soccer club FC Erzgebirge Aue continues. The Veilchen announced the transfer of Luan Simnica. The 21-year-old defensive midfielder joins the Erzgebirge from relegated SV Sandhausen and is set to become a permanent fixture in the central position.

The 1.82-metre midfielder came through the youth academy of 1. FC Köln before making it to the 3rd division with VfB Stuttgart II. Luan Simnica has played two games for Albania in the U21 national team. He moved to Sandhausen in the 2024/25 winter break and made a total of 26 appearances in the 3rd division last season, scoring one goal.
