A 17-year-old girl without a driving license has caused a car accident in the south-east of Leipzig, injuring herself and three other underage passengers. According to the police, the teenager overlooked the central island of a traffic circle on Saturday night, lost control of the car and crashed into a fence.
The 17-year-old driver and her passengers, aged 17, 16 and 15, were taken to hospital for treatment. Initially, the driver is said not to have given her personal details - her identity could only be established by the traffic accident service. She is now being investigated for negligent bodily harm and driving without a license, among other things. The damage to property is estimated at several tens of thousands of euros.
