RB Leipzig will be without young international Assan Ouédraogo for the top match of the Bundesliga on Saturday (18:30/Sky) against FC Bayern Munich. According to coach Ole Werner, the 19-year-old suffered another injury to the back of his knee in the game against SC Freiburg (2-0), which makes it impossible for him to play.
"He's got problems again, which didn't look so bad in the game. We're in the diagnostic process and may know more on Saturday," said Werner. The winger had already had to sit out the game in December due to the same complaint.
Henrichs back in the squad
In place of Ouédraogo, Benjamin Henrichs, another international, who could make his comeback after a year out through injury, has made the squad. Henrichs ruptured his Achilles tendon in the 5-1 defeat to Bayern last season and has been absent ever since.
He has earned his place in the squad thanks to his intensive work in recent months and now also in training, said Werner. "We're delighted that he's back because he makes a very good impression on the pitch and is also a tangible asset to the team as a leader," praised Werner.
