Aue starts the new season with a double shift

FC Erzgebirge Aue started the new season with a double shift. Head coach Jens Härtel even welcomed Maxim Gresler, a player on trial, to the opening training session, which was equally extensive with one session in the morning and one in the afternoon. Left-back Gresler played for the 2nd team of 1. FC Nürnberg last season. In addition, Härtel can now bring in eight external newcomers with Luan Simnica, Moritz Seiffert, Ryan Malone, Julian Günther-Schmidt, Erik Weinhauer, Tristan Zobel, Jannic Ehlers and Eric Uhlmann.

Returnees Louis Lord and Finn Hetzsch were also involved in the FU'BALL third division team. Home-grown players Paul Seidel and Lukas Schimkus also took part in training with the professionals. The newcomers were able to get to know each other at the weekend when the team cycled to Eibenstock and returned on Sunday after a team evening.

Still without injured players

The Erzgebirge team still had to do without Mika Clausen, who had to undergo groin surgery during his vacation after persistent complaints. Marcel Bär (rehab after Achilles tendon tear), Maxi Schmid (rehabilitation training after syndesmosis tear), Maxim Burghardt (rehab after cruciate ligament tear), Can Özkan (rehabilitation training after cruciate ligament tear), Ricky Bornschein (rehab after tumor removal) and Boris Tashchy (knee complaints) are also currently still sidelined.
