RB Leipzig's new signing Rômulo believes he will integrate quickly into his team and the Bundesliga. "Different country, different culture, different soccer. But I've found a good team here and I'm convinced that I'll quickly get used to the style of play," said the 23-year-old Brazilian after the start of training ahead of the home game against 1. FC Heidenheim on Saturday (3.30pm/Sky).
The attacker, who arrived from Turkish first division side Göztepe Izmir, has put the 6-0 defeat at champions Bayern Munich at the start of the new Bundesliga season behind him. Instead, he is focusing on the upcoming opponents: "Whether it's Bayern or Heidenheim - we're under pressure every game and have to deliver our performance."
Rômulo: "I'm ready when I'm needed"
Rômulo has a different perception of the Turkish Süperliga, where he scored 13 goals in 29 games last season and also contributed 9 assists. There are four or five top clubs in Turkey, "the level of the teams behind the big ones is also very high here".
The angular attacker also wants to contribute goals for Leipzig, preferably next Saturday. Regardless of whether the new signing starts from the beginning or is substituted as he was in Munich: "I'm ready when I'm needed."
