An early goal conceded does not rattle Aue. The team from the Erzgebirge dominated the game and were able to celebrate late on.

FC Erzgebirge Aue have secured their first win of the new third division season. On matchday three, Aue coach Jens Härtel's team defeated newly promoted TSV Havelse 2:1 (0:1). Luan Simnica (66') and Eric Uhlmann (83') turned the game around at the Erzgebirge Stadium. John Posselt had already put the visitors ahead in the sixth minute.

Aue captain and goalkeeper Martin Männel returned in goal after missing the 1-0 defeat at SSV Ulm due to his son's school enrolment. Männel was unable to prevent the early deficit: After a corner, the 37-year-old found himself alone against two Lower Saxons, allowing Posselt to nod in.

Aus dominated the game throughout

The hosts, who should have taken the lead after just two minutes through Jannic Ehlers, quickly digested the deficit and created several opportunities. However, it became clear why the Saxons had remained goalless in their previous two games: They finished too carelessly, or the final pass did not reach the teammate.

Aue were also the dominant team after the break. Marvin Stefaniak initially failed to hit the post in the 51st minute. Simnica had more luck when he gave the ball the final twist with his back in the 66th minute. Uhlmann scored the deserved winner for the constantly pressing hosts with his header seven minutes before the end of normal time. Stefaniak celebrated again in stoppage time, but the goal was disallowed for offside.
