The new federal government has announced increased controls at the external borders. Additional federal police officers are now on duty at the borders in Saxony.

The Pirna Federal Police Headquarters is tightening controls at the borders with the Czech Republic and Poland. Additional personnel are being deployed for this purpose, a spokesperson explained on request. He did not want to give exact figures.
