RB Leipzig are still struggling in the Bundesliga. That's why they are strengthening their squad with a Swiss international.

Women's Bundesliga club RB Leipzig is strengthening its squad for the second half of the season with Lara Marti. As the Saxon club announced on Monday, the Swiss international will join the Leipzig side until 2026. The 24-year-old full-back last played 47 Bundesliga games for league rivals Bayer Leverkusen. RB will begin a one-week training camp in Salzburg on Thursday. The first competitive match will be against SC Freiburg on January 27.

"Lara is very quick, can play in both wing-back positions and can show off her speed, tackling and dribbling skills both offensively and defensively. Her experience in the Bundesliga and in the Swiss national team will help us further. Her direct manner and positive charisma are a great fit for our team," said Viola Odebrecht, Head of Women's and Girls' Football at RB.
