Coach Marco Rose was annoyed after RB Leipzig's defeat in the top match at FC Bayern Munich as they lost more points in the battle to qualify for the Champions League again. "It's not the first time this season that we've thrown points away," said Rose after the 2-1 defeat at the Allianz Arena on Saturday evening. Harry Kane's winning goal for Bayern came in stoppage time.
"In terms of results, it's a bit bumpy," said Rose on the points haul. If Borussia Dortmund win at home to TSG Hoffenheim on Sunday, the gap to fourth place could grow to four points. "We don't have time to moan about it. We have goals. We have to get back on track next week," warned Rose. On matchday 24, the Saxons will host VfL Bochum, who are strong at home and recently beat Bayern 3-2 at home.
"We have enough games ahead of us, including the direct clash with Dortmund," said midfielder Xaver Schlager with a view to their return to the top flight. "We're not playing bad soccer, it's just the result that's not right," he said in Munich.
