Erzgebirge Aue have already reached the peak of their preparations. However, the Veilchen were far from winning against Gladbach in their first test match.

Two weeks before the start of the third soccer league, FC Erzgebirge Aue lost their test match against Borussia Mönchengladbach despite a committed performance. The Bundesliga club, who play two divisions higher, only needed 13 minutes to celebrate a 3-0 (3-0) victory at the Erzgebirgsstadion in their test match premiere.

Aue had a great chance to take the lead in the 19th minute through Ryan Malone, but Gladbach goalkeeper Nicolas Omlin and the crossbar prevented them from going behind. Three minutes later, Marvin Stefaniak hit the crossbar.

New season begins for Aue at the start of August

Gladbach's Shio Fukuda was all the more effective in the 26th minute with a shot from just under 20 meters to give the visitors the lead. In the 37th minute, the 21-year-old Japanese player completed his brace. Two minutes later, Franck Honorat made it clear before the break.

The new season begins for Aue on August 3 with a home match against Hansa Rostock. Two weeks later, the Rhinelanders will play their first competitive match at Atlas Delmenhorst in the first round of the DFB Cup.
