RB Leipzig has been very cautious on the transfer market so far. Now three new players could be presented in the next few days.

RB Leipzig appear to have launched a transfer market offensive and are on the verge of signing three new players in the coming days, according to consistent reports. After Johan Bakayoko from PSV Eindhoven and Yan Diomande from Spanish second division side CV Leganés, the Saxons have now also reached an agreement with Andrija Maksimovic. The 18-year-old joins from Red Star Belgrade and is set to sign a contract until 2030. The transfer fee for the eight-time Serbian international is thought to be €14 million.

Maksimovic would be the third attacking player to be signed by RB. However, the Serbian plays centrally and can also function as a playmaker. By contrast, Bakayoko and Diomande are wingers.

After the worst season in the Bundesliga club's history to date, finishing seventh and missing out on the international starting places for the first time, RB had called for a new beginning. The club wants to part ways with several seasoned professionals and once again focus on young players who are capable of development. So far, however, only the longest-serving RB professional, Yussuf Poulsen (to HSV), has left the club.
