National player Lukas Klostermann is expecting a painful Bundesliga match at FC Augsburg. "It's definitely going to be a game that's going to knock your socks off," said the RB Leipzig defender on Tuesday.
The Saxons travel to Swabia on Saturday (3.30pm/Sky) looking to climb back into a Champions League place. After four games without a win, Leipzig won 2-0 against Union Berlin on Sunday. "That's good and gives us confidence. Nevertheless, it should only be the beginning. We have a lot of important games in the coming weeks," said Klostermann.
Directly after the Augsburg game, Leipzig will host Real Madrid in the Champions League. Klostermann is likely to play in central defense alongside captain Willi Orban in both games. The 27-year-old regained his starting place in October and is hoping to be nominated for the home European Championships in the summer. However, there has been no recent contact with national coach Julian Nagelsmann.
