As part of the "Open Week of Companies", more than 1,300 craft businesses, industrial groups, social institutions, universities, authorities and hospitals will give young people from year seven onwards an insight into the world of work, according to a statement from the project. Almost 20,000 of the 37,000 available places have been booked, according to the statement. The booking deadline was Wednesday. According to the press release, there is a wide range of professions and industries. The participating companies offer something for everyone, "from A for optician to Z for carpenter". In addition to apprenticeships, professions that require a degree are also presented. The campaign is part of the Ministry of Education's "Schau rein!" initiative for career and study guidance.
