Saxony's government has scheduled another AI congress and wants to discuss practical applications of artificial intelligence in particular. AI has recently provided some "wow" moments, from fascinating gimmicks to impressive technological breakthroughs, explained the State Chancellery on Wednesday when announcing the third congress of its kind in the Free State. Now it is time to go beyond the "wow" factor and discuss the "how".

On 16 and 17 April in Chemnitz, representatives of the government will meet with experts from business, science, education and justice to discuss how AI can become an everyday supporter and companion. Head of the State Chancellery Oliver Schenk will begin by taking stock of the state's AI strategy. Saxony's head of government Michael Kretschmer (both CDU) will also be present. Economics Minister Martin Dulig (SPD) wants to discuss possible applications of AI with representatives from industry. Workshops are planned for the second day of the congress.
