Mika Leonhardt from SSV Leutzsch qualifies for the EYOF 2025 in Skopje - as part of the German national team at Europe's biggest youth sporting event.

It is with great pleasure and justifiable pride that we can announce that Mika Leonhardt, swimmer from SSV Leutzsch and student at Sportoberschule Leipzig, has qualified for the European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF) 2025!

After outstanding performances at the German Swimming Championships, Mika was nominated for the German national team. This makes him one of the country's most promising young athletes who will represent Germany at this important international youth competition.

The EYOF will take place in Skopje, North Macedonia, from July 20 to 26, 2025. Over 4,000 young athletes from 48 European nations will come together to compete in 15 different sports. The festival focuses not only on top sporting performances, but also on the values of the Olympic idea: fairness, team spirit and intercultural exchange.

For Mika, this is not only a sporting challenge, but also a very special personal experience. As a club, we have been following his journey for many years and are proud of how he has continuously developed - with discipline, passion and great ambition. We would also like to congratulate his current and former coaches on this development and all those who have accompanied him on his journey and continue to do so today!

Dear Mika,

Your SSV Leutzsch wishes you every success, exciting competitions and unforgettable experiences in Skopje! We are behind you - on your way to new best times and beyond!
