Dynamo Dresden has extended the contract of managing director Stephan Zimmermann ahead of schedule. This was announced by the second division soccer club. "From day one, Stephan Zimmermann has impressed us with his professional and reliable way of working and has thus been able to establish himself as an important pillar in the club. Thanks to his professional knowledge, coupled with his commitment to the club and the region, he enjoys great trust among our employees and our partners," said Dynamo's Supervisory Board Chairman Jens Heinig on the extension of the contract, which is independent of the league. No details were given about the term of the contract.
Zimmermann has been in office since October 2023 and will currently also help with sporting matters following the departure of Head of Communications David Fischer in June and Head of Sport Thomas Brendel this week. Dynamo have also just installed a second acting managing director, Jürg Kasper, to provide temporary support in the commercial area.
