The sporting crisis in the Bundesliga has worsened for the BSV Sachsen handball team. Norman Rentsch's charges lost the basement duel at HSG Bad Wildungen 21:23 (9:13) on Saturday and slipped to a relegation place. Jolina Huhnstock (6) and Anika Hampel (6/2) played the biggest part in the hosts' success. Diana Magnusdottir (5), Ema Hrvatin (5/3) and Rita Lakatos (4) scored the most goals for the team from Saxony.
The club from Zwickau missed the opening phase of this seminal game and trailed 2:7 after twelve minutes. The visitors turned the tide with five goals in succession after the restart and went 14:13 (38') in front. However, the home side came back and pulled away from 17:17 (45') to 20:17 (48'). Bad Wildungen did not let this lead slip from its grasp in the final spell, especially as Zwickau conceded too many turnovers and missed good chances.
