Four lottery millionaires in the first half of the year in Saxony

In the first half of 2025, four lottery players in Saxony achieved what many dream of: they won millions. This means that the number of top prizes in the first six months was slightly lower than in the same period last year. In 2024, Sachsenlotto had reported seven new lottery millionaires by the middle of the year.

Of the four big winners this year, two came from the state capital Dresden, one from Leipzig and one from North Saxony. One of the lucky Dresden residents won a good 3.2 million euros in May with six correct numbers in the classic "6 out of 49" lottery. In mid-March, a woman from Dresden hit the jackpot in the supplementary lottery "Spiel 77" and was able to enjoy almost 1.6 million euros.

9.5 million euros for Leipzig residents

The two other winners from Leipzig and North Saxony, on the other hand, were successful in the same lottery draw in February. The Leipzig player hit the jackpot and, with €9.5 million, achieved one of the ten highest winnings in Saxony to date. The player from North Saxony won €2.2 million with his six correct numbers in the second-highest prize category.

In the whole of 2024, twelve lottery players became millionaires in Saxony. That was twice as many as in 2023.
