Peter Gulacsi is back just in time for RB Leipzig's final game of the season. After suffering a concussion in the Kiel game, he is back in the Saxony squad three weeks later for this Saturday's game (3.30pm/Sky) at Werder Bremen. "Pete is fit and has had a very good week of training. We have the green light from the doctors," said RB interim coach Zsolt Löw. However, he did not want to reveal whether the Hungarian international goalkeeper would be in the starting eleven. "The decision has been made, but I'd hate to tell you now. We have two super goalkeepers in super form," added Löw, which could also speak in favor of Maarten Vandevoordt starting.
In order to keep their chances alive in the battle for a Champions League place ahead of the season finale, they absolutely must win at the Weser. "There's a lot at stake, we want to win the last two games to achieve our goal. Every player has to be able to handle the pressure," said Löw.
The Hanseatic side themselves are still in contention for the Europa League with 47 points. The sixth-placed Saxons are two points behind in fourth place before they face VfB Stuttgart at home next week.
Raum, Kampl, Orban and Haidara will be missing
Although central defender El Chadaille Bitshiabu is back in the RB squad after his red suspension, two regulars - international David Raum and Kevin Kampl - will be missing through yellow card suspension. Added to this is midfielder Amadou Haidara, who suffered an inner ligament injury in his left knee in training. Defender Willi Orban is also not yet fit for action and could return to the squad against Stuttgart.
