Second-division soccer club Dynamo Dresden missed out on a boost of motivation during the international break. Coach Thomas Stamm’s team lost 0-2 (0-1) in a friendly match against Czech first-division club FK Teplice. The Saxons took the field without Niklas Hauptmann, Thomas Keller, Brooklyn Ezeh, and Alexander Rossipal, who were all absent. A curious incident occurred in the second half when, according to the news portal “Tag24,” half of the floodlights went out. Nevertheless, play continued—and later, full lighting was restored. Dynamo sits in second-to-last place in the standings ahead of the league’s resumption. On October 10, the Dresden team will face VfL Osnabrück. In their matches so far, the Saxons have primarily struggled on defense. Having conceded 14 goals speaks for itself. Copyright 2026, dpa (www.dpa.de). All rights reserved
