Bundesliga volleyball club Dresdner SC has announced its first new signing for the coming season. As the German cup winners and championship runners-up announced, US-American Jacque Lynn Armer is moving to the Elbe from Swiss first division club Volley Lugano and signing a one-year contract.
The middle blocker, who comes from the US state of Indiana, has already gained experience in Europe since 2020, playing for clubs in Sweden, France, Spain and most recently Switzerland.
Top scorer despite middle block position
"Jacqui hasn't played in a major league yet, but she still brings a lot of experience with her. She is a real team player who is used to taking on responsibility. In Lugano, she was the top scorer in her team, which is not easy for a middle blocker to achieve," said DSC head coach Alexander Waibl on the signing of the 27-year-old.
The Dresden club had previously announced the departure of eight players, including the two middle blockers Nathalie Lemmens and Emma Clothier.
