Carelessness with serious consequences: In Rammenau in eastern Saxony, four people suffer serious injuries after failing to give way.

Four people have been seriously injured in a traffic accident in Rammenau (Bautzen district). According to the Görlitz police department, a 49-year-old female driver had wanted to turn onto the main road in the village on Saturday afternoon and obviously overlooked the right of way. Her car collided with another car in which a 62-year-old man was driving. This car skidded, overturned and landed on its roof in a ditch.

The woman who caused the accident and her co-driver (48) as well as the driver of the other car and his 60-year-old co-driver were taken to nearby hospitals. According to the police, the property damage amounted to 37,000 euros. The road remained fully closed for around five hours.
