He wanted to leave Nuremberg and join Dynamo. This wish has now come true for the striker, who was previously on loan.

Second division promotion contenders Dynamo Dresden have finalized an important transfer ahead of the last home game of the third division season and signed Christoph Daferner. The 27-year-old striker moves permanently to Saxony from 1. FC Nürnberg after his loan spell. Both clubs have agreed not to disclose the terms of the transfer.

"I've made it no secret in recent weeks that I'm absolutely determined to stay here in Dresden. My family and I feel extremely at home in the city. I am delighted that the people in charge have made such an effort on my behalf and that both clubs have now reached an agreement. I'd like to thank everyone for that," said Daferner.

In the current 3rd division season, the attacker has scored 19 goals in 39 competitive matches so far and assisted a further five goals. Daferner was already at Dresden from 2020 to 2022. Even then, he scored 27 goals in 75 games and provided nine assists.
