Dresdner SC's women's volleyball team have surprisingly terminated the contract with the middle blocker from the USA just two months after signing Jacque Lynn Armer. The DSC managers were forced to terminate the contract without notice and for cause because the player is no longer available.
"It is extremely annoying that we had to terminate the player contract with Jacque Lynn. We've never experienced anything like this before," said DSC Managing Director Sandra Zimmermann. The cooperation of the players was necessary for the application process for work and residence permits. However, this did not work out despite "intensive and weeks-long efforts".
It was only in May that the Champions League participants presented Armer as their first new signing for the coming season. As the German cup winners announced on Wednesday, a replacement has already been found in the form of compatriot Amelia Van der Werff.
