Truck hits end of traffic jam - A14 near Döbeln closed

Following an accident, the Dresden-Leipzig highway 14 has been fully closed in the westbound direction since the morning. According to the police, a 47-year-old man drove his truck into a truck at the end of a traffic jam between Döbeln-Nord and Leisnig for reasons that are still unknown. The man was seriously injured and flown to hospital in a rescue helicopter. The driver of the stopped truck escaped with minor injuries and received medical treatment at the scene. The circumstances of the accident are under investigation.
