The Dresdner Eislöwen have announced the experienced forward Trevor Parkes as their next prominent new signing. The 34-year-old moves from EHC Red Bull Munich to the newly promoted team in the German Ice Hockey League (DEL) and signs a contract for the coming season.
The Canadian moved to the Isar in 2018 after two years in Augsburg. He played 332 DEL games and 38 games in the Champions Hockey League with the Munich club. Parkes scored 128 goals and was his club's record goalscorer until February 2025.
With Munich, he was the first German team ever to reach the final of the Champions League and won the German championship in 2023. He had to take a complete break last season due to a knee injury, but has been back in full training since February.
"We were looking for a real goal scorer and in Trevor Parkes we have found exactly that," said Eislöwen sports director Matthias Roos in a club statement. "He also has leadership skills and will give our offense important impulses. We are convinced that he will regain his old strength after his injury."
After Slovakian goaltender Julius Hudacek and former NHL star Justin Braun, this is the third new addition to the Eislöwen.
