Despite the onset of winter with snowfall and rain, there has been no major traffic chaos on Saxony's freeways so far. According to the freeway police control centers, there were mostly only minor incidents.
Only one accident occurred on the A72 in the direction of Chemnitz between Espenhain/Kitzscher and Borna-Nord, which is why the directional lane is currently closed. The police do not yet have any further details about the incident.
The Central Traffic Service continues to warn of slippery roads due to snow and recommends driving with extra caution.
