A 79-year-old pedestrian was seriously injured in a traffic accident in Zwickau. According to the police, a 44-year-old female driver hit the man, who was wearing dark clothing, as he was crossing the road near the Neue Welt streetcar stop on Saturday evening. The pedestrian was taken to hospital. The damage to the car reportedly amounts to around 5,000 euros.
