An 18-year-old driver has been involved in a police chase in Freiberg city center. According to the authorities, he endangered several people on Friday evening and caused property damage totaling around 18,500 euros. He was only injured himself when he resisted police action. The young man now faces charges including endangering road traffic and driving without a license.
He left the road twice in succession and crashed into two parked cars and a civilian police vehicle, which stopped his wild escape. The police are looking for witnesses to the incident, especially the motorists and pedestrians that the 18-year-old endangered with his driving.
