RB Leipzig's sporting director Rouven Schröder has regretted the end of the cooperation with sporting director Max Eberl. "Friday was emotional for everyone and surprising at the end, and from there not as desired," Schröder said on the sidelines of the Champions League match against English soccer champions Manchester City on DAZN, adding, "We worked together very trustingly. We have been very diligent and together the period with Felix Krüger (sports coordinator). You can see the result on the pitch."
RB had surprisingly parted ways with Eberl on Friday after not even a year, citing his lack of commitment to Leipzig. The former Gladbach manager is associated with a possible move to FC Bayern. "That has been a decision from the club. There will have been reasons for it," Schröder added. The international break now offers the chance to put heads together. "In peace times to talk about things like structure," said Schröder.
