Bundesliga volleyball club Dresdner SC has strengthened its squad for the new season with Dutch international Jette Kuipers. The outside attacker moves to the Elbe from league rivals VfB Suhl Lotto Thüringen and signs a one-year contract. The 22-year-old is the second new signing for the German cup winners and Champions League participants after middle blocker Jacque Lynn Armer (USA).
Kuipers started her career at her home club in Tubbergen, was part of the Papendal Arnhem talent team from 2018 to 2021, before playing for first division club Apollo 8, with whom she won the Dutch Cup in 2024. She made her debut for the national team last summer and also made her first international appearance in Suhl.
DSC coach Alexander Waibl emphasized that Kuipers is a "very good outside attacker with huge potential, as she has a good feel for receiving as well as being able to score. She is tall, athletic and an unconditional fighter with the will to win."
