Third division soccer club FC Energie Cottbus has signed Ted Tattermusch from FC Carl Zeiss Jena. The 1.94 meter tall striker brings a lot of experience to the Lausitz. "Ted is very tall and should give us additional flexibility in attack with his power, heading and finishing ability," said Energie head coach Claus-Dieter Wollitz.
Squad planner Maniyel Nergiz explained: "Despite only being 24 years old, he has already played almost one hundred third division games. Last season at FC Carl Zeiss Jena, he really caught the eye and should now take the next step with us."
Tattermusch was born in Meppen and played for the Teglingen/Meppen/Schwefingen club as a child before joining the SV Meppen youth team at the age of eleven. After moving to Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2021, Tattermusch made a total of 82 third-division appearances for the U23 team over three seasons, adding two goals and seven assists to his statistics. In Jena, he most recently scored twelve goals and provided four assists in 29 games in the Regionalliga Nordost.
