The product affected is "Belbake Schokoladenstreusel (mindestens 32 Prozent Kakao) 400 Gramm" - with the best-before date 21.04.2027 and the batch numbers 1326.01 to 1326.14, as reported by the portal lebensmittelwarnung.de. Salmonella was detected during an investigation by the manufacturer. This can cause gastrointestinal illnesses. Infants, small children, pregnant women, senior citizens and people with a weakened immune system could develop serious illnesses. The product was sold by Lidl in Germany in the federal states of Baden-Württemberg, Bavaria, Berlin, Brandenburg, Hesse, Lower Saxony, North Rhine-Westphalia, Rhineland-Palatinate, Saarland and Saxony. The goods can be returned to any Lidl store. The purchase price will be refunded, even without presenting the receipt.
