Anyone who has bought stock from Ökoland should take a close look: Because of possible glass splinters, the manufacturer asks you to dispose of or return certain products.

The food manufacturer Ökoland is recalling several of its products because there is a risk that they could contain glass splinters. As the company announced on the platform lebensmittelwarnung.de, the following products are affected:

  • Bone broth from organic chicken, 380 ml, best before July 2028, batch L8345
  • Chicken meat in broth, 320 ml, best before November 2027, batch L7648
  • Beef meat in broth, 320 ml, best before October 2027, batch L7575

The best before date and the batch are printed on the lid. The products were reportedly sold in Baden-Württemberg, Bavaria, Berlin, Brandenburg, Bremen, Hamburg, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Lower Saxony, North Rhine-Westphalia, Saxony, Schleswig-Holstein and Thuringia.

Anybody who has bought one of the affected products is asked to dispose of it. Alternatively, consumers can return products from the affected batches. They will be refunded the purchase price even without presenting the receipt.
