Borussia Mönchengladbach coach Eugen Polanski is not looking for personal glory in the final spurt in the Bundesliga, but for points. On the pitch, he can hope for two returnees.

In the final sprint of the season, self-promotion plays no role for Borussia Mönchengladbach coach Eugen Polanski. "I don't know if I need to advertise anything. I think the club knows what I'm like, what makes me tick, how I deal with the team," said Polanski ahead of the clash at RB Leipzig on Saturday (3.30pm/Sky) when asked whether the remaining games were an opportunity to promote his future.

"I'm a guy who basically wants to win every game. But when I took this job here, I knew that the season would be extremely tough until the end. I think we would have wished for this situation here at the very beginning, that we had everything in our own hands," said the 40-year-old. In addition to the goal of staying in the league, it is now also important to continue the development and then take this into the next season.

Hack and Kleindienst set for comeback

In terms of personnel, Borussia could welcome two more players back onto the pitch at the end of the season. Robin Hack is about to make his comeback following his muscle injury. However, it will probably be too early for him to play in the upcoming away game in Leipzig. "He makes a good impression. Of course, it's always a consideration to perhaps bring him forward a little bit, but that has to be weighed up very carefully," said Polanski.

The coach also held out the prospect of a comeback for international Tim Kleindienst before the end of the season. "When I see Tim training, it's very good. I hope he can get back into team training quickly," said Polanski, although he did temper expectations slightly: "We're not expecting 90 minutes of soccer. We're talking about a cure."
