After the soccer riots in Dresden's Rudolf Harbig Stadium, Dynamo now play at the club in Nuremberg. The statistics speak against the Elbe city team, as does the current situation.

After the scandalous game against Hertha BSC, Dynamo Dresden coach Thomas Stamm wants to focus on the sporting side of things. This Saturday's away game at 1 FC Nuremberg (13:00/Sky) will be a big challenge for the club from the Elbe, who have recently suffered two defeats in the lower house of soccer.

"One thing is always the points haul, which wasn't what we wanted in the last two games. But if you look at the performances, we conceded very little against two strong teams and had some really good opportunities ourselves. It's all about converting chances, where we're not so clean," said Stamm.

The team must "not lose conviction, because we can also draw the game in Nuremberg. It's important that we take confidence from the past games and then we have the ambition to score at the weekend," emphasized Stamm. The club is eight points clear of the relegation places. Head coach Miroslav Klose's team are also unbeaten in three games.

Many absentees for Dynamo

Dynamo will be without Lennart Grill, Elias Bethke and Vinko Šapina (all injured) in Nuremberg. Kofi Amoako and Robert Wagner are also missing through yellow card suspension. Niklas Hauptmann and Thomas Keller's appearances are questionable. "We've always emphasized that phases like this can happen, but we have a broad squad with a lot of options. I'm convinced that we'll have good solutions for the weekend so that we can pick up points against a very good team like Nuremberg," said Stamm.

Dynamo have only won one of their 17 duels with the Franconians to date. That was on January 29, 2017, compared to ten wins for Nuremberg and six draws.
