A drunk cyclist was hit by a car and slightly injured in Zwickau. This was reported by the police. The driver of the car had committed a hit-and-run. According to the report, the car overtook the 35-year-old cyclist on Saturday evening and touched him on the side, causing the man to fall. However, according to the police, the driver continued his journey without stopping or leaving his personal details.
During the accident investigation, the officers discovered that the injured cyclist had been drinking alcohol. A breath test revealed a level of 1.82 per mille. Another cyclist who was also at the scene was also drunk - his blood alcohol level was measured at 1.96 per mille.
The police are now looking for witnesses who can provide information about the fleeing driver. They are asked to contact the police.
