A 92-year-old woman has been fatally hit by a streetcar in Leipzig. According to the police, the senior citizen was walking with a rollator when she tried to cross a street in the Neustadt-Neuschönefeld district. She was hit by a streetcar on line 7. The woman suffered serious injuries and died a short time later in hospital.
The 43-year-old driver of the streetcar was uninjured. The police are investigating the exact circumstances of the accident and are asking witnesses for information.
