Two drunken passengers have been denied boarding at Leipzig/Halle Airport. On Thursday morning, a 27-year-old man was so drunk shortly before take-off to Mallorca that he was no longer responsive, according to the Federal Police. The pilot aborted the take-off procedure and the officers removed the man from the plane. A breath test revealed a blood alcohol level of 1.7 per mille.
A little later, a 45-year-old man attracted attention due to his unusual behavior at the gate. Here, too, the pilot decided to remove him from the flight. The federal police detected a breath alcohol level of more than three per mille in the man. They then removed him from the security area.
In this context, the Federal Police emphasized that everyone can look forward to their vacation and get in the mood with a little alcohol. "But one glass too many can be expensive, as the costs for the aborted take-off can be passed on by the airline. The lost vacation enjoyment, on the other hand, is priceless."
