Dynamo Dresden won 2-1 against Halleschen FC in the East German duel and remains sovereign leader of the 3rd Football League.

Dynamo Dresden has made up for the defeat in Essen and remains sovereign leader of the 3rd Football League. On Wednesday, the team from the Elbe defeated Halleschen FC 2-1 (1:1) in the eastern duel. Former Dresden player Dominic Baumann gave the visitors the lead after seven minutes with the first chance of the game. Dennis Borkowski(45.+1) dusted off the first serious Dresden chance in the first period to make it 1-1 in front of 29,159 spectators shortly before the interval whistle. Tom Zimmerschied, who switched from Halle to Dresden before the season, scored for Dynamo for the first time after 51 minutes with a header. The HFC remains despite a courageous performance in the table cellar.

The leader was not to be recognized after the 1:3 last Sunday in Essen. Without the injured Niklas Hauptmann ran with the Dresdner nothing in the game forward. Bad passes from the defense, no movement in the game, misunderstandings in the running paths. Of a table leader the Dresdner appearance was not worthy.

Hall against it played after the early guidance, conditioned by a position error of Dynamos defender Tobias Kraulich, very surely. From the well working five-man chain flew again and again long balls to Baumann, Erich Berko or Andor Bolyki, on the outer positions Tunay Deniz and Timur Gayret sprinted up and down.

The Dresden uncertainty should have punished Bolyki with the 2:0, but he failed twice alone to Dynamo goalkeeper Stefan Drljaca. Instead, Borkowski dusted off after a header by Stefan Kutschke initially parried by Sven Müller for the surprising equalizer.

After the break, Dynamo managed the quick lead. Jakob Lewald asserted himself on the right side, crossed sensitively into the penalty area, where Zimmerschied ran in and headed into the far corner.

Now the HFC had to open its compact coverage, which met the game of the hosts, who were now increasingly dangerous. Borkowski (64th) failed with a shot at Müller. However, the Dresdeners did not manage to completely gain control of the game. The HFC remained dangerous, even if clear chances hardly jumped out.
