Xaver Schlager and Peter Gulacsi have resumed team training at Bundesliga club RB Leipzig. At the start of preparations for the away game at Werder Bremen on Saturday (3.30pm/Sky), the 27-year-old midfielder only took part in parts of the training session after suffering a muscle injury in mid-March, the club announced. In contrast, the Hungarian goalkeeper returned to full training following his head injury and concussion.
Leipzig are in sixth place, two points behind the fourth and final Champions League place, and will host VfB Stuttgart after the Bremen game to round off the season. Mainz follow two points behind Leipzig.
David Raum, Lukas Klostermann and Willi Orban started the training week individually, while Kevin Kampl and Ridle Baku only completed parts of the team training session. Raum, who was back on the pitch for the first time since his injury lay-off in the 3-3 draw against Bayern Munich, is missing, as is Kampl after picking up his fifth yellow card in Bremen. Orban has already been out of action for four games due to muscular problems - it is unclear whether the team captain will make an appearance this season.
