Hertha BSC have confirmed the second test match as part of their preparations for the new season in the 2nd Bundesliga. One week after the test match opener at Frohnauer SC, Hertha coach Stefan Leitl's team will travel to 1. FC Lok Leipzig. Kick-off at the Bruno-Plache-Stadion on July 11 is at 3:00 p.m., as the club announced.
For the two-time Regionalliga champions, who only recently failed again in the relegation to the third division, the "visit of the Old Lady" is the highlight of their preparations, according to their website.
Hertha will begin their preparations for their fourth season in the lower division on June 29 with medical tests. One day after the test match in the trade fair city, the official opening of the season will take place in the Olympia-Park. From July 17 to 26, the players will travel to a training camp in Kitzbühel. The first match day is scheduled for the weekend of August 7-9.
