The people of Leipzig once again want to set an example for democracy, cosmopolitanism, courage and diversity with a musical and political program. On 30 April, numerous musicians will take to the stage at Leipzig's Moritzbastei for "Leipzig Shows Courage", as the organizers, the socio-cultural center Anker and the city, announced on Monday.

The Hamburg punk rock band Swiss und die Andern, the rapper Antifuchs, the Chilean rock band Frank's White Canvas and the Leipzig Batiar Gang are expected to perform at the free open-air event. In the past, various Leipzig associations and initiatives have repeatedly used the event to position themselves against right-wing views. The organizing team also includes "Prinzen" frontman Sebastian Krumbiegel, who comes from Leipzig. "Especially now, it is and remains important to actively promote human rights and open-mindedness."
