Just a few days after the celebrated opening of the former Berlin cult restaurant "Mokka-Milch-Eisbar", the new bar with the name "Mokka Milch" is closed again. The reason given by the restaurant's operators, the married couple Natacha and Alexander Neumann, includes technical problems. "That's why we made the difficult decision to pause for a moment and smooth everything over," explained Alexander Neumann in a post on Instagram. "You deserve more than we could give in these first few days. We'll be back on June 12 - with fresh energy and the quality you deserve," he continued. The power failed, then the coffee machine broke down. "Some guests waited 15 minutes in the sun for a drink. That doesn't meet the standards we set ourselves. We weren't happy with what we delivered," Natacha Neumann told the Berliner Morgenpost newspaper. At the same time, the operators expressed their gratitude for the great response. Since the opening of the former GDR cult restaurant, hundreds of people have come. A special guest, Thomas Natschinski, also attended the celebration on Wednesday evening: the now 78-year-old and his band dedicated their own song "In der Mokka-Milch-Eisbar" (1969) to the restaurant in Karl-Marx-Allee.
