Due to the detection of the EHEC pathogen, numerous sausages produced by a Göttingen-based company should not be consumed. This was announced by the Göttingen district administration.
According to the platform Lebensmittelwarnung.de, all federal states except Saarland and Baden-Württemberg are affected. The products were reportedly sold at grocery stores, among other places.
According to the district, raw sausages produced by Fleischwaren Wulff are being recalled. The best-by date may already have passed for some products.
Anyone who has purchased one of these products should not eat it. According to the information provided, EHEC causes symptoms such as diarrhea and abdominal cramps. Severe cases of the illness are most common among infants and toddlers, as well as the elderly and people with weakened immune systems.
